Jesse, as Randy puts it, is “some other breed of human.” She’s a genuinely good person who never acts in a holier-than-thou fashion, she is a great friend who doesn’t mind a bit of playful kidding of the people she loves, and she has super-high standards without making you feel bad about not living up to those standards. IZZY 20-26 / Female / African-American/African 20-something to play a college aged young woman. As much as Jesse is the beating heart of the story, Izzy is the emotional center of it. Izzy is prone to scatter-brained bouts, and she has serious self-image issues. At the same time, she is a truly wonderful person who is there for everyone. Super-smart, but a little all over the place. AVA 20-26 / Female / Asian, South Asian/Indian 20-something to play a college aged young woman. Ava is more buttoned-down than any person should ever allow themselves to be. She holds herself to an incredibly high standard, and she holds others to an even higher one. Because of this, she can be a bit much. KEVIN 20-26 / Male / All Ethnicities 20-something to play a college aged young man. Kevin takes life very seriously, primarily because he has no other choice. He would love to spend more time kicking back and partying, but he’s carrying more than his share of the financial load in college, and he knows he needs to work very hard to get ahead because nothing is going to be handed to him. RANDY 20-26 / Male / All Ethnicities 20-something to play a college aged young man. Randy seems to be living life on cruise control. He’s boastful and has outsized visions of his future, but he seems to be making absolutely no effort to accomplish anything. As we discover in the story, he’s carrying some serious scars, and he also cares way more than he lets on. He’s the party guy who actually comes through when you need him. |
