BIOGRAPHY:
Dorothy McMillan has been performing for as long as she can remember. When she was three, she begged her parents to enroll her in ballet classes the day she first saw "The Nutcracker", performed by North Carolina Dance Theatre (now called the Charlotte Ballet). She later studied and performed with the company for five years.

Dorothy found her true passion in acting when she began studying at Northwest School of the Arts. There, she pursued theater while also maintaining her rigorous dance career six days a week. Dot has a B.A. Degree in Theatre and Dance from UNCC, training from Marymount Manhattan College, and several North Carolina and New York theater, film, and television credits under her belt.

Favorite roles include playing Sylvia (a lovable dog) in A.R. Gurney's "Sylvia", Marcelle Cot (an unsatisfied wife) in "Hotel Paradiso", and Kathleen (a pragmatic prostitute) in Toni Press-Coffman's award-winning play, "Touch".

(2014) She has been doing a lot of voice-over work for theater (Blue Man Group), television (Oxygen Network), and commercials (Conair, car2go Brooklyn).

(2015) She has a recurring role as the snarky barista in Elite Daily's "5TAGES" and plays Deborah Brown (a lead role) in "I'd Kill for You", Episode 310.

(2016) Her voice is featured on the "Robots" track in the Blue Man Group's studio album "THREE" and an NC tourism commercial, she is featured in a couple of Harris Teeter industrials, and she plays Lenny in "Liars", a Children's Theatre of Charlotte play.

(2017) Her voice is featured in an OxiClean commercial, Micheal Kors' Sexy Ruby campaign, and another NC tourism commercial.
