Daniel Genalo is a New York City based Performer, Designer and Writer. Daniel grew up in the midwest, the son of an Engineering professor father at Iowa State University and a mother in Social and Psychological Research at various universities. Daniel show creativity at an early age in his drawing, writing of stories and poetry, ability to imitate and create characters, and talent in dance. He considered studying a variety of creative fields, including Architecture, Screenwriting, and Fashion Design. Ultimately he attended Arizona State University, earning a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Design. With this design science background, Daniel cultivated the ability to creatively problem solve in any discipline. After graduation Daniel relocated to New York, first working as an Accessories Designer in Soft Goods and Luggage. He continued to dance alongside his career, and took a job as an Art Director. After two years in print design, Daniel shifted focus to performance as a career.

Daniel won an international dance competition for "House Dance," which catalyzed his dance career. He subsequently worked as a dance instructor, performer and competition judge, throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Upon returning back home in New York, Daniel was discovered for potential work as a model. His first bookings were for Nike and David's Bridal (a shoot with America's Next Top Model judge and photographer, Nigel Barker). Since then he has focused on working and training in acting, dance and modeling. He performed on the Emmy-winning comedy 30 Rock with Alec Baldwin, danced with Elmo on Sesame Street's "Elmo Slide," and appeared on the cover of Time Out NY magazine. Daniel continues to perform and live in New York City.
